This Is Why I Left South Africa (And Why I Didn’t Go Back to Dubai Full Time)
How I quietly rebranded, rebuilt, and repositioned myself across borders

This week’s podcast episode is honestly one of my favourites. I sat down with a decamillionaire who built his wealth in under a decade. This was meant to be a voice note for the paid community. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised it deserved a proper write-up.
There’s something I haven’t shared publicly yet. One of the main reasons I left South Africa and chose to rebase in the UK temporarily, instead of returning straight to Dubai.
This move was actually part of a strategy I came up with around six months ago. And what’s wild is I’m starting to see it work now. I was in SA for six months and that time was critical. A LOT happened, while also not much at the same time. But that space gave me room to dream again. To reset. To build quietly. I’ve said it before but I’ll always credit my apartment in Joburg for giving me the cushion I needed to take the biggest risk of my life. Leaving my full-time job. I don’t think I would’ve done it otherwise.
And just like it was crystal clear when I left Dubai for SA, the decision to leave SA and rebase temporarily in the UK was just as clear.
